Boitec Laboratories Kenya Ltd. was established in2003. The company has been actively involved in the import and distribution of world-class products. This well demonstrated by the excellent list of our international partners, who have invested heavily to distribute quality products for the world market.

Q. Where is your company based in Kenya?
Our company is based in Nairobi, the financial capital of Kenya. Our distributing unit is based at Matumbato Road, Upperhill which is about 15km from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Nairobi has the largest airport in Kenya. Our vicinity to Nairobi gives us access to all the modes of transport like Air, Rail and Road. Hence, it becomes very convenient to transport our products to any part of the country in desired conditions.
Q. What are the products that you distribute? How long you have been distributing?
Boitec Laboratories Kenya Ltd. has been distributing all of its products since 2004. Currently, the products are broadly categorized as Laboratory equipment, Serology, Immunoturbidimetry, Rapid tests, Urine Strips, Laboratory Chemicals, Molecular Diagnostics, Laboratory equipment and Laboratory Detergents.
Q. What Certifications do you have?
Boitec Laboratories Kenya Ltd is a dully registered company with all the statutory certifications. Biotec is recognized by the KMLTTB, PPB and renews the business license as required by the laws of Kenya. All the trading partners are ISO certified and possess ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2003, GMP and CE marking.
Q. How do buyers select right distributer in In-vitro Diagnostic industry?
Buyers can have their own criteria to select the right distributer which can include multiple points such as background of the company, whether or not the company is the original distributer or just importers and re-packers, technical competencies of the people, quality policies of the company, size of the distributing facility, range of the products distributed, certifications available with the distributer, availability of clean rooms for distributing, distributer’s clarity and understanding of the products that they distribute, availability of the products, response time for the queries, payment terms, willingness to distribute new products, etc.
Q. How do the buyers understand the quality of distributers?
The buyers can understand the attitude of distributer towards the quality. Buyers can check with distributers whether they are high integrity distributers or not, the availability of clean and sterile rooms, certifications available with the distributer, quality of raw materials and packaging materials used, stringency of quality control and quality assurance by the distributer, participation of distributer in various quality programmes, knowledge base of the distributer, how much the distributer invests in the R&D of product and quality of people, etc.
Q. What quality policies do you follow?
At Boitec Laboratories Kenya Ltd. we follow very strict and stringent quality policies at multiple levels like knowledge and competencies of the people, R&D, Raw Materials, Formulations, QA and QC Protocols, Packaging Materials, Production Environment, Storage Environment and Shipment Partners.
Q. What are your payment terms?
All payment is accepted in KSH and dollars, unless otherwise specified in the quotation. Following are the payment options:
1. Full Advance Payment: This method is the most convenient for small orders as it minimizes the bank charges involved in other methods of payment. You may send Telegraphic Transfer (TT) or Wire Transfer to our Bankers under intimation to us.
2. Part Payment in Advance: For larger orders, we expect that you send 50% value in advance. Balance payment is payable before the dispatch. This method involves Bank Charges which are payable by the customer.
3. M-PESA Payments. The company operates an MPESA till number and can be conveniently used to settle bills.
4. Letter of Credit: We expect Sight Letter of Credit against bulk orders. This method involves considerable Bank charges. All Bank Charges as per the terms of Letter of Credit, must be to the account of the buyer.
5. Small Payments: We are also trying to launch Paypal feature so that customers can pay through the credit cards.
6. 30-day credit-Only offered to a few selected local customers
Q. What if the material is not delivered after the payment?
There is no situation in which the material will not be delivered after the payment is received by us. We accept orders only when we are competent to deliver. We are a Private Limited Company Registered in Kenya. In this age of internet one can always check the authenticity of the company through various portals. We will be more than happy to assist you with any information or details which you need from our end to satisfy your concerns. We are very transparent in dealing. We mention everything clearly before dealing with the customer to reduce the communication gaps. We need buyers and we have a vision to achieve in long run. We need references from you to make our vision achievable.
Q. How will you solve the complaints given by the buyer?
Complaints pertaining to any aspect of business is taken very seriously at Boitec Laboratories Kenya Ltd. If the complaint is related to the product or its performance, the buyer has to fill up a complaint form explaining the nature of the complaint in full. Appropriate solutions are provided at the earliest. If the complaint is related to any other aspect of the business other than product or its performance, a mutually agreeable solution can be worked out at the earliest.
Q. Can you distribute the product which is not there in the website for us?
Yes. We are open to distribute products in the relevant industry that are not mentioned on the website or which has specific customization according to the requirements of the buyer.

Q. How long will you take to answer our query?
Our sincere efforts are to keep the response time to a bare minimum. In case of delays, our response time shall not exceed 24 hours excluding public holidays and weekends.
Q. How fast can you ship our material?
Our delivery time to ship the material depends on the product and agreement in sales contract. Some products may take only a day, a week, 4-6 weeks and some may take even 3 months.
Q. Do you get any training to become a distributor in Kenya or Abroad?
Yes. We have a comprehensive training programme for any distributor in Kenya or Abroad for all of our products. We cover only theory, only practical’s or theory as well as practical’s in our training. We have separate modules which may be completed in 1 day to multiple days depending on the depth of the training required.
Q. Are you planning to distribute any innovative products in the near future?
Yes. We are planning to distribute multiple products in the fields of life science, Cancer and Lifestyle Disorders. The details of the products shall be shared at appropriate times.
